The tea is covered with bamboo screens so the plants are shaded. The tea will be shaded for three weeks prior to plucking to raise the chlorophyll and reduce tannins, creating a beautiful emerald looking leaf. The tea has a smooth flowery sweet fragrant taste with little bitterness or astringency. It is the most refined green tea in the world.
